It has been five long years, filled with corona and a kid, but we’ve finally managed to create an anniversary wedding event!

Dress code

The cocktail dress code is a blend between casual and formal, aiming to strike a balance between elegance and comfort. It’s a gray area, along with semi-formal attire, where your look should be refined yet relaxed.

Master of Ceremonies

We are happy to announce the groom’s brother, Öystein Thorsen as Master of Ceremonies, aka Toastmaster! Please reach out to him directly if you want to give a speech or sing a song.

A Wedding Master of Ceremonies (MC) is a crucial element in ensuring a smooth and memorable wedding reception. The MC’s role is to coordinate and host the event, keeping the agenda flowing smoothly and ensuring that the wedding party and guests are informed and entertained throughout the celebration.

Accommodation

We were able to get 10% discount codes for the following two hotels: NH Sintra Centro, Sintra Boutique Hotel, Lumen Hotel & The Lisbon Light Show and Luster Hotel.

Transportation

Uber and other taxi services are accessible and affordable in Portugal. There are also tram/bus/train services, electric scooters and other means of transportation. An Uber from Lisbon to Sintra is about €20.

Schedule

Katherine Ami and Jan Henning will be staying in Lisbon from the 19th to the 23rd of September and then in Sintra from the night of the 23rd to the 26th of September. Sintra is very close to Lisbon, so it’s likely that the wedding couple will travel to Lisbon to see family and friends after the wedding.

22nd of September

We would like to invite you to join us at Carmo rooftop bar in the heart of Lisbon on Sunday before the wedding!

23rd of September

We have arranged with a two hour tall ship boat trip right outside of Lisbon.

This will be on a family friendly boat. For those concerned about being seasick, we’ve confirmed it is a big, stable boat so seasickness is not very likely.

24th of September

We will have our wedding party and ceremony at Casa dos Penedos in Sintra. Sintra is a beautiful castle town about 30 minutes away from Lisbon.
